Sanctuary Voices Gallery

Below are images from the original performance of The Consul at a trashed warehouse in Shoreditch. It was a collaboration between OperaMachine and Sanctuary Voices; a collaboration between trained opera singers from Ukraine, Lithuania, Japan and Germany and migrant Londoners. They are set to music from the show – premiered in the 1950’s by the Italian American composer Gian-Carlo Menotti. Scenes that are, sadly, just as relevant today.

Also, Naveen Arles seen in rehearsal with some of the singers prior to the show.
